My Shipping Commitment.

I know how hard it can be to earn your money, and I’ve been burned with unexpected high shipping costs.  Fusion Mineral Paint is imported from Canada, can weigh a lot because it is a liquid, and our shipping costs from Fusion are often on the high side. Some Iron Orchid Designs products are of various sizes, with the transfers being rather long.  That said, my commitment to you is not to make any money on shipping, and I have done my very best to minimize your shipping costs, and will continue to tweak and add options to pass those savings onto you.  

When will it ship?

Normally, orders will be fulfilled the same day, and you will receive notification of tracking number as soon as I process the order for shipment.  If it's before 11:00 AM Central weekday, good chance it's going to be shipped same day.  However, if you place your order after 11: AM Eastern, it will probably be shipped the following day. I will always do my best to ship your order with care within 24 hours of order placement.

Where's my shipment? 

You should have received an email (or text) from my store when you placed your order, and again when your order shipped.  If you did not receive these emails, please search your spam folder, promotions folder, or social folder for any email from The Painted Heirloom.

Please note that,,,,,,,, and have been known to block Shopify emails. 

If you create an account with the same information you placed an order, you can also see your order status and tracking number in your account. 

Every shipment from my store is tracked by either a U.S. Post Office Tracking Number, or a UPS Tracking Number.  This tracking number will be in your order shipment email.  You should be able to click your tracking number in the email to track it instantly.

As an alternative, you can copy your tracking number and visit US Post Office Tracking or UPS Tracking. If you cannot find this email, you can check your order status at  If you still can't find your tracking number, please use the contact form.

Shipping times provided during checkout are estimates only, and are not guaranteed by USPS, UPS, or myself.  Only U.S. Priority Express and UPS Overnight is guaranteed.  The word "days" in shipping time estimates includes business days only, and does not to include weekends.  Once your package has been placed in the possession of the U.S. Post Office, or UPS, it is out of my control. There is literally nothing I can do to expedite your shipment once it is in the hands of the USPS or UPS.

Current Shipping Methods.

I currently ship via United States Postal Service (USPS), and United Parcel Service (UPS). I do not currently ship via FedEx.

If your order is light enough (13 oz or less), you will have the option of USPS First Class Package or Priority Mail during check-out.

USPS First-Class Package is an affordable way to send envelopes and lightweight packages.

USPS First-Class Package Features:

  • Best priced service for mail up to 13 oz.
  • Delivery in 1 to 3 business days. Please note and understand, these times are estimates and are not guaranteed by U.S. Post Office.
  • Insurance for loss or damage up to $5,000 for merchandise only.
  • Can combine with extra services to confirm delivery.

If your order is more than 13 oz, then it will be shipped USPS Priority Mail.

USPS Priority Mail Features:

  • Includes USPS Tracking.
  • Delivery in 1 to 3 business days. Please note and understand, these times are estimates and are not guaranteed by U.S. Post Office.
  • Includes up to $50 of insurance with most shipments (restrictions apply).
  • No surcharges for fuel or residential, rural, and regular Saturday delivery.

Expedited Shipping.

I currently do not offer expedited shipping; however, I would be willing on a case-by-case basis.  Please use the Contact Us form here to request expedited shipping, providing your name, email address, and phone number for quicker communication.

$6.95, $2.95, and FREE Domestic U.S. Shipping (All DIY Paint Products are exluded). 

If you spend $60-$99.99, your order qualifies for $6.95 flat Domestic U.S. shipping; $100-$149.99, your order qualifies for $2.95 flat Domestic U.S. shipping; $150+, your order qualifies for FREE Domestic U.S. shipping; either will be shipped the most economical way.  This means it will probably be shipped via USPS, or potentially via UPS Ground.  If you choose to upgrade your shipping from the $6.95  to Priority (to potentially receive it faster), you will forfeit the $6.95shipping.  You will be given shipping time estimate on the check-out screen.  The same holds true for any free shipping promotions I may run.   If your order is 13 oz or less, it will be shipped via USPS First-Class Package.  If it’s more than 13 oz, it will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail Regional Rate. Due to DIY Paint Co. Retailer Agreement, no DIY Paint product can be included with any shipping or product discounts.

International Shipping.

GREAT NEWS!  When you purchase from my store, any VAT, duties, and local taxes are all prepaid!  What does this mean?  It means you won't be surprised by a big add-on bill upon delivery! Your order will travel seamlessly through customs with no chance of hold-ups or surprise fees. When you make a purchase at my store, Global-e becomes the merchant of record. A merchant of record is the legal entity responsible for selling products to a customer, and for adhering to local laws and regulations in another region or country.  International Shipments will initially be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS), and then handed off to DHL eCommerce. Some benefits of DHL eCommerce Parcel International Direct are:

  • Transit time is from 3 to 10 business days.
  • Ships to 35 countries and supports prepaid delivery duties and taxes. Countries include Australia, Canada, the European Union, Hong Kong, Israel, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
  • Includes shipping insurance up to 100 USD.
  • Can ship to PO boxes.
  • Includes tracking and delivery information.
  • Includes brokerage fee.

Returns, Exchanges, and Damages.

I will only accept unopened and unused products for returns and exchanges, unless the item was damaged in shipping or you received a defective item.   Please continue reading.

Returns/Exchanges.  Unopened purchases from retail locations will have to comply with that store's return policy, and will not be eligible to return the product through my online store.  I cannot accept returns after 14 days of the original purchase date and without a RMA number. The customer is responsible for the shipping fees to mail the items back to me. When I receive the items, I will inspect the items for use and any damages that may have occurred during the return shipping. If there has been no use or damage, I will issue a refund, minus appropriate shipping costs if you had received free shipping or flat/promotional shipping, and a $1.00 restocking fee for each item returned. The restocking fee is to cover my cost of printing of your packing slip, time to pack your order, cost of packing materials, delivery to Post Office, temporary inability to resell the item your returning to another customer, and the time to receive back and refund your return. If there is damage, I will not refund the items, so please ensure they are packed similarly as you received them.  If returning, I strongly recommend using to return your items. Find the smallest box the item can be returned safely, enter the dimensions, rounded down to the nearest quarter-inch, and create your label.  You will save A LOT of money.

Please use the Contact Us form if you'd like to make a return so I can send you our return address and a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number.

Damages.  If an item arrives damaged, first, I'm terribly sorry, and will work with you to make it right!  Depending on the level of leak and / or damage to your product, you may be offered multiple solutions for compensation.  Pictures of any and all damages and leaks are required. This is to aid me in damage claim submission with the shipping company.  Please take pictures of the damaged products and packaging, and please hang on to both - do not discard them.  I will need to submit the pictures with USPS or UPS damage claims. The pictures will also be used to prevent further damaged shipments, and possibly back to the manufacturer.  Then, please use the Contact Us form to initiate recoupment process within 7 days of delivery.  We will require a photo of the damaged item and the box we used to ship emailed to us as confirmation of damage for claim to USPS or UPS. We hope you understand. An email address will be provided when you initiate contact.

Undelivered, Unclaimed, or Refused Shipment. If your order is undeliverable, unclaimed, or refused, I will refund the order, upon it's return to me, minus shipping costs paid by you. If you received promotional free shipping, or you paid $6.95 flat shipping, the actual shipping costs paid by me will be deducted from your refund. Receipts of shipping costs available upon request.

Sales Tax.  We are required to collected FL Sales Tax on all physical products purchased by and shipped to Florida residents.

We're Green.  Please note, I am a "Green Company" and occasionally re-use shipping boxes and packaging when able.  Again, this is to keep costs down.  Please rest assured I ensure your package is well protected.
