Palais des Fleurs Stamp by IOD - Iron Orchid Designs

Inspired by 18th-century French toile de Jouy, a printed cotton fabric originating from Jouy-en-Josas near Versailles and popularized by artisan Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf, the 12x12” IOD Palais des Fleurs Stamp by Iron Orchid Designs draws from an authentic 1700s wallpaper housed in the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City. The design remains as true to the original artwork as possible, with adjustments made only to a few primitive figures that did not translate well to stamp form, ensuring every intricate detail applies beautifully.

Individual elements can be stamped separately or arranged closely to form a complete repeat that emulates historic wallpaper patterns. Featuring bouquets, floral swags, and fabric-like draping, this versatile set enhances a variety of surfaces—ideal for furniture, wall panels, cards, and standalone art pieces—providing numerous options to incorporate classic toile imagery into creative endeavors.
