Important use notes:

• Store IOD Paint Inlays in their packaging at room temperature in a dry area until ready to use
• Keep sheets completely dry until application
• Plan your layout before painting your surface
• Trim inlay pieces as needed using the grid side as a guide
• Apply into a generous, even coat of fresh chalk-type or mineral-type paint for basic application
• Work in manageable sections so the paint does not dry before the inlay is placed
• Place the inlay design side down into wet paint, with the grid side facing up
• Mist lightly with water and press gently with a damp sponge, folded cloth, brayer, or appropriate tool
• Avoid dragging or shifting the sheet after placement, which may blur or smear the design
• Allow the inlay to dry to the touch before removal
• Mist the paper with water before removal and wait briefly so the backing releases more easily
• Pull the paper back slowly at a low angle
• Use water carefully to soften, blend, or distress the pigment before sealing if desired

• Seal finished projects with a compatible water-based sealer, spray sealer, artist’s fixative followed by a finish, wax, or another tested compatible topcoat
