Description

Let the glowing metallic or vivid, jewel-like tones of these innovative, decorative, non-tarnishing pastes transform picture frames, furniture, metalwork, artwork, molding, ceramics, textiles or almost any clean, dry surface. Baroque Art Gilders Paste Wax is made of highly concentrated metallic and organic pigments blended with a wax base. It can be used both indoors and outdoors with little or no surface preparation. Apply with brush, sponge, cloth or almost anything. There is no dripping, so masking is not required. Treated surfaces dry to the touch in 30 to 60 minutes. Allow 12 hours before installing or polishing. Once dry, surfaces are durable and water repellent. Clean up with paint thinner or mineral spirits.

Easy to use.  Apply Gilders® Paste Wax...
  • With finger, sponge, toothbrush, paintbrush or cloth in a rubbing motion or use other creative mediums to produce a unique finish.
  • Layered on top of one another or mixed to create different finishes or an endless color palette.
  • Thin out with paint thinner to transform the highly concentrated GILDERS® paste wax for brushing, sponging, staining, washing or spray painting.
Coverage.  A little Gilders® Paste Wax goes a long way.
  • 1 oz (30 ml by volume) container covers over 30 square feet.
  • 3.5 oz (100 ml by volume) container covers over 100 square feet.
NOTE:  If dried out, Gilders Paste Wax can be rejuvenated by mixing in a few drops of paint thinner or turpentine in a small area. The ability to rejuvenate the paste leaves no waste and years of shelf life!
    Colors.
      • African Bronze is green with gold color flake. This color is ideal for leaves, vines, and moss with some pop of gold. People who bought African Bronze also bought Orange.
      • Antique Gold is a deep, rich metallic gold with red undertones. This color provides a deep, antique look and feel. People who bought Antique Gold also bought Rust.
      • Black is on the cool side, perfect for shading our colors to make your own hues. People who bought Black also bought Gold.
      • Celtic Bronze is a light greenish metallic bronze. This is like our Gold with subtle green undertones and an antiqued finish. People who bought Celtic Bronze also bought Slate.
